Christmas Program
This week has been very busy...Christmas party at school, goodie bags for the kids, gifts for teachers and the program. Very stressful week with a lot of running around, but was well worth it in the end. The kids learned the songs so well and did such a good job on stage. We are so proud of our baby boy...no stage fright while saying his lines...Good job buddy!!! They all had matching shirts made by the teachers and Santa hats too! We have great teachers and a great school...Go Leopards!

Christmas Parade
Tonight was the Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony. Of course Santa is the one who lights the tree with his magic. Joey was the first to sit on Santa's lap and he was so excited. Santa rode to the park on his very shiny Harley and who did he hug first...Thats right, Joey. As soon as he got off that bike the first kid he saw was my baby, and he put his arms right around him. My son had a smile on his face the rest of the night! Sitting on Santa's lap is always fun...Cassie didn't think so...Poor baby.

Happy Halloween!
We had a great Halloween this year. Lots of candy, and lots of fun. Joey was a Dragon, from the movie "How to train your Dragon" which is his favorite right now. Cassandra was a lady bug, Kaitlyn was a rock star. Sabrina was too old for dressing up...But that didn't stop her from collecting candy! She is silly. We took a few pictures with those who were willing, like the gingerbread man and a war veteran. All in all it was a great evening, and ended with yummy pizza.

The trading Post
We took a drive today and ended up in Traver. They have a trading post there and it is just amazing. They have lots of shops where you can taste wine and cheese and lots of goodies to buy. They also have a petting zoo, and a tree house. There were goats, chickens and a pony that you can actually feed. It is a museum really, and the outdoor patio is just awesome. It was like its own little world...you really have to see it to appreciate it. We had a blast! Of course my son takes after me when it comes to being "afraid of heights" ...so daddy was the only one that got all the way to the top of the tree house. My son and myself got up the stairs and to the first level and we were ready to come down...Yes we are chickens and proud of it!!

Happy Birthday Elijah
Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Been very busy lately. I still have to download some pictures from my camera and phone. I've been steadily working on my new blog...you will see it soon. It's called "R thyme" It is about everything really. From recipes to short stories, and not just from me...from all of us women. It's taking a bit of my time, and between school and home stuff, it hasn't left me much time to blog. I am also trying to edit my chapters of my book..So hopefully I will catch up and post some pictures for you all.

Looking back
My babies.... I am so very lucky to have both of you in my life. You both have qualities about you that are very special and unique. Your hearts are made of gold and are as big as the ocean. You have both touched my heart in a way that I can never explain. I am so proud of both of you, and love you very much.

Homework folder, and study binder
We recently got Joey's homework folder and study binder from school. I really like the way his teacher is very organized. We get the homework folder on Wednesday and it is to be returned on the next Wednesday, Study binder comes on Monday and goes back to school on Thursday..They also get quizzed on Thursday. The binder has laminated pages for study...ABC's, 123's, shapes, colors, Math-addition and subtraction, words to read, and pockets for special study items. They also have another folder that we get on Friday with all the weeks finished assignments and we return on Monday. Monday is sharing day and also Library day. Whew..sounds a little complicated because of all the different days for this and that, but we have adapted well. So recap- Monday (sharing day, library day, turn in assignment folder empty. Take home homework binder for study) Wednesday return homework folder and take home homework folder with new lessons. Thursday we return the homework binder and take a quiz. Friday we get the assignment folder full of the weeks work, and so on. Sounds very confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it...it's not that hard.

Happy Birthday Grandma Emma
Today is Joey's Grandma Emma's birthday. Unfortunately she was in the hospital, due to a nasty fall in her kitchen which resulted in a broken hip. All of us got together and visited her for the day, with cakes (yes, more than one...we are piggies) and gifts. Hopefully she enjoyed herself, even though she would have rather not been where she was. She is expected to make a full recovery and be home within the week! We love you grandma Emma, hope you had a great day!

I can't believe it!
I tried this grocery store today, it's called Fresh and Easy. I had heard of it, but had never gone. Well I am a very happy camper. They had lots of discounts, I had heard this from Veronica (my sisters sister-in-law) and wanted to check for myself. I took a picture of what I got and only paid $35.00. I got 3 packs of chicken, and there were 12 pieces in each one, 2 2pound packages of ground beef, 4 boxes of honey bunches of Oats cereal, 2 loaves of bread, 2 packages of pita bread, 3 boxes of corn bread mix, 2 containers of salmon dip, 2 boxes of crackers, a container of pasta mix, a bag of fresh spinach, and arugola and last but not least a head of lettuce.

Happy Birthday Ronnie
Today was Ronnie's 61st birthday. He says he is going to turn it around and make it a 16...HaHaHa...If only that was possible. He got phone calls and gifts, and thats more than he could have asked for. "It's just another day" he said...He didn't want a fuss made. Love you Big Ron...Some call him that.

Happy 90th Birthday Popo!
My grandfather turned 90 today. We all celebrated at the clubhouse in the mobile home park where his sisters live. He got a BBQ from his daughters and lots of $$ from everyone else. I made his cake, it was a hunters theme since he always hunted whenever he could, and had cupcakes on the side. I will post pictures on a later date...Sarah took pictures and has not put them on my computer just yet.

We BBQ'd and did a bunch of fireworks... lots of fun!!! Looking forward to our next BBQ...We are hoping before school starts.

Happy Birthday baby sister!
Well today is my baby sisters 39th birthday! I told her she is one year away from the 40 club, not so sure she wanted to be reminded of that! That's what big sisters are for...HaHa. We had a BBQ, and cake and a pretty darn good time! We usually do when we are together. Well, hope you had a great day sis, I love you!

Happy 40th Aretha!
Yesterday was Aretha's 40th birthday, and boy did we get her good! I am very proud to say that. Her dad and step-mom kept her busy all day so we could get the party together, and surprise her that evening. Some friends from High school came and lots of family. Her reaction was just perfect...priceless I would say. It was very hard for me to keep it from her all week, because I tell her everything...I caught myself almost saying certain things about the party and would have to quickly change the subject. It was all worth it! Her sisters, daughter,mother,children,step-mom and myself were busy talking all week, and I must say we all work well together. I thank them very much for doing this for her! She is an amazing person, and deserves so much more. I feel I am very blessed and proud to have her as a friend. I love you girlie!!!
Saturday, June 5, 2010
Today was Dr. Seuss' day. We watched Cat in the Hat, made green eggs and ham, and made Dr. Seuss' hats....Fun, fun, fun! Cookies and milk topped it off. We had such a good time, and the kids really enjoyed the coloring, cutting and pasting. I will be posting more on all the fun things that we do this summer.

Jazmines Graduation
I went to Sacramento for a few days to celebrate Arethas daughter Jazmines graduation from 8th grade. We had a blast. We were working hard to put this party together, but it was fun because we were all together. They had a bounce house to occupy the little ones, and I was busy with the cake. Jazmine is growing into such a beautiful young woman...Inside and out. I am so very proud of her! She is very talented in so many different things, and drawing is one. She would make a great artist, and cake decorator too...Whatever it is that she decides to do as a career...I know she will be great!

Carries' baby shower
A big thank you to everyone who came to Carries' shower. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves...We sure enjoyed seeing all of you. Also a big thank you for all the gifts, she sure got a lot of cute outfits for Cassie. It's always fun to buy girlie clothes and things. Cassie is doing so good, and she is just so beautiful, it's very hard to stop from kissing her whenever I see her. We are all very thankful that she is doing so well. Here are just a couple of pictures that were taken, as we were so busy with games and eating and visiting, that we just about forgot the most important thing...Pictures!

Happy Birthday to me!
Lordy, Lordy am I really 40?
I got a great surprise today, one i would have not expected. Here I am at home, It's my birthday, but no big deal. I 'm babysitting, I didn't ask for the day off from that because Joey had to work that evening anyway. So I'm watching kids and cleaning and all of the sudden here is Aretha...I'm standing there with my mouth open...and she is holding this big margarita glass( notice the picture) waving it in the air and singing Happy Birthday! Her girls had made it just for me (so sweet) I am at one end of my house, and I'm watching her walk toward me, singing and waving this glass and I couldn't even speak. She gives me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek, and I just want to cry...I was still speechless for a minute or so..It was the best. Of course my husband and my daughter were in on it the whole time, and I love them for that. I love my best bud too, what would I do without all these people in my life. It was a great day!!!!! Oh yea, I got a cake ( one I didn't have to bake myself) from Aretha, good gifts from my family, and of course long stemmed red roses from my sweetie. Yikes I think I'm going to cry again, I am such a lucky girl!
