Happy Birthday to me!

Lordy, Lordy am I really 40?

I got a great surprise today, one i would have not expected. Here I am at home, It's my birthday, but no big deal. I 'm babysitting, I didn't ask for the day off from that because Joey had to work that evening anyway. So I'm watching kids and cleaning and all of the sudden here is Aretha...I'm standing there with my mouth open...and she is holding this big margarita glass( notice the picture) waving it in the air and singing Happy Birthday! Her girls had made it just for me (so sweet) I am at one end of my house, and I'm watching her walk toward me, singing and waving this glass and I couldn't even speak. She gives me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek, and I just want to cry...I was still speechless for a minute or so..It was the best. Of course my husband and my daughter were in on it the whole time, and I love them for that. I love my best bud too, what would I do without all these people in my life. It was a great day!!!!! Oh yea, I got a cake ( one I didn't have to bake myself) from Aretha, good gifts from my family, and of course long stemmed red roses from my sweetie. Yikes I think I'm going to cry again, I am such a lucky girl!

Second Year Pre-School Graduation

Well another year of Pre-School has come and gone, and I just can't believe my baby is going to be in school next year. He has 3 teachers, and I have to say they are truely the best. I cannot say enough good things about them and what they do for these kids. We promised to visit them during the next school year, and they were so happy to hear that. They also know when we visit I am sure to bring fresh baked goodies, and that is always a plus! They have always said how smart Joey is and they can tell that we work with him at home. It's so good to hear that from his teachers. Here are some pictures and one at the bottom of Joey and his friend Destinee ( she just had to have a picture with him...can you tell by the look on his face that he was a little embarrassed...so sweet)

Opening Day Ceremony

Today was opening ceremony for T-Ball, so we had to be at the field early this morning..It was fun to see all the teams for Dinuba that are playing. There are 600 plus kids of all ages playing. I can't believe such a small town has that many kids just for baseball. It's great! Our game was that afternoon, so we went to McDonalds with the other teams and had lunch and played in the play place until it was time for our game. It was a good day, and the kids were very tired and ready for a nap when we finally got home...that was nice for me (ha ha). Here are some pictures, Joey is number 11, and there is my little guy in the dugout.

1st T-Ball practice

Today was our 1st T-Ball practice, and Joey had so much fun. He just loves it, and tells me "Mommy I love this T-Ball game" His first game is Saturday the 24th, and we can't wait. Hopefully it doesn't rain. The name of the team is Little Froggies, and they will get shirts and hats that are gray with green writing, so we are off to the sporting good store for pants and cleats. He is such a big boy now, as he puts it, and tells everyone he knows that he plays baseball now. Even people in the store...It is so cute. I will post more pictures soon.

Fun with the kids

Today I had my friend Tamaras kids, and we walked to the school to play, and also to tire them out. They had so much fun. Joey really enjoys them coming over now. I watch them on a regular basis, and Joey is very happy about that, he just loves these little kiddos...me too!
