Joey lost his first tooth!!!
My son lost his first tooth lastnight. I can't believe it, it's too early to start losing teeth. Well he got his first tooth at 3 months, and had a mouthful by the time he turned 1, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The week before Christmas I had my neices over for the night, and Kaytlyn had 2 teeth that were about to come out. She lost one that evening and the other the next day. Joey had told me "Mommy I have a loose tooth too" I said to him "No baby, you are too little to lose your teeth" Well, while we were in Merced I was brushing his teeth, he normally brushes his own teeth, and I saw that he had another tooth growing in back of his bottom tooth. I said "Oh my gosh, you have another tooth coming in" His response to me was "I told you I had a loose tooth, and you didn't believe me did you" Of course I want to cry (but didn't). He then showed me how his tooth was wiggely. I was lost for words other than "Mommy is sorry" He didn't let me forget either that I didn't believe that he had a loose tooth. Who would of thought that a 4 year old would start getting their big teeth. He finally pulled it out last night and put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy!!! It was sooo cute how proud he was of his loose tooth and showed anyone who would look.

Good-bye Christmas
I can't believe that Christmas is over. Our's was a little extended this year as we had my very sweet and very funny brother-in-law visit for a few day's after Christmas. We started on Wednesday and ended on Tuesday. We went to Merced and stayed with my other very sweet and very funny brother-in-law and his family. We did our usual...Family Poker game, which is always fun. Of course Joey won, but me and my sister-in-law always try to give him a run for his money! It's fun to see the three brothers enjoy time together and they always talk about old times, remembering the crazy things they used to do as teenagers, most of which their mother never knew of. We always have a good time with them, thanks guys!!! We came home very late Christmas eve, we couldn't forget Santa's cookies and milk, as my son reminded us and of course we had to be home to get our gifts from Santa. Christmas morning came and Santa did too, the cookies and milk were all gone, and like a tornado my son tore threw his gifts...non-stop. You would have thought he had never had a gift in his whole life...It was great! We were so tired from the trip to Merced that we just layed around in our jammies, ate and played games all day.

Am I Done Yet???
Well, Im finally finished with my Christmas cards...whew. It was a long process, but worth it. Hope everyone likes them! Now onto the baking...Lots of baking that is. Since my Mom and Ronnie have everything in the world, the last 3 or 4 years now I have been making them big goodie baskets with junk, goodies and munchies. Who doesn't love that!!! Needless to say they look forward to it every year. Mom made a point to ask me this year if I was going to do a goodie basket for them, and when I said yes she did this little dance that was soooo funny, I could not help but crack up laughing. The woman is just crazy with a double z!!! I am making them for Joey's co-workers as well so I need to get a move on it. Today and tomorrow are my baking days and then on to the cooking.....I just love Christmas!!!!

Happy Birthday Kaytlyn
Saturday was Kaytlyns 8th Birthday!!! We celebrated at Grandma & Grandpa Saldanas house. Lots of fun and she made out pretty good. It must be nice to have your birthday so close to Christmas(double gifts in the same month..yipeee) Her cake was Strawberry Shortcake and was fun to make, I included a waterfall because of a picture I had seen and put strawberries around the bottom (it took me 4 hours to decorate because it's mostly fondant, but worth every minute) Happy Birthday baby girl, I love you!!!!

Santa Clause is coming to town
Saturday was the Christmas Parade, Tree lighting ceremony, and Christmas show here in our town. It was cold so we warmed ourselves with yummy hot cocoa(topped with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate of course). The best part was Santa of course. Joey did good this year, and actually took a picture with him. The kids had a blast running after the candy canes that were thrown from the floats, waving to their friends and rolling down the little hills in the park.

Tree Time
We were going to get a real tree this year, but as we were bringing out the decorations from the garage, our little guy saw the fake tree that we have and insisted on putting it up. It's hard to resist that sweet little face. Well here it is, decorated by joey. The glow to the right is actually a polar bear, I couldn't get a clear shot.

Let's call him snoopy!
That's right, we have a snooper in our house!! Joey went snooping around in Sarahs room ( which he never usually does ) and found his present from her. She got him a really cool Mongoose bike (I told her to put it at Grandmas house). Joey and I were in the family room, Sarah was in the kitchen and all we heard were the screams of joy and this "Sarah, you got me a new bike for Christmas?" We just started laughing, what else can you do. This was about 10 O'clock at night when he should have been in bed, you naughty little boy. He was so desperate to ride it that he grabbed my running shoes and we let him ride in on the patio for a bit, dinosaur jammies and all.

Since school is on an early break, we made early Christmas goodies for his class and teachers. Peanut butter fudge, Russian Tea cakes, Candy Mounds (yummy) Ginger Bread Cookies, and Vanilla Cookies with sprinkles. We also made a book for his Teachers with a poem on front and the recipes for the goodies inside. It was a hit!!! It was alot of work, but well worth it.

Happy Halloween
It's a girl
Carrie and Juan are having another sweet baby girl. She is due on the 23rd of March. They have decided on the name Cassandra Louise, we will call her Cassie for short. Maybe even Cassie Lou, isn't that just soooo cute. Carrie got a 3D picture of her and I can't believe how clear it is. Carrie is only 4 months along, so the baby has alot of forming to do and growing too. I can tell by the picture she will have Carries little lips. The doctor said she is as big as a soda can, and everything looks very normal. She is doing great!!!! Hurry Cassie, we can't wait to see you!

NO LADDERS ALLOWED!!!!
Well today is the one year anniversary that my hubby fell off my mom's roof. I can hardly believe a year has gone by. He fell on the 26th and had 2 surgeries on Halloween last year. We are keeping our fingers crossed and our ladders hidden for this Halloween. He told me he did it on purpose so he wouldn't have to put up any decorations. HaHa

And the baby is due.......
Well, Carrie went to the doctor last week, and she is due March 21st. She was right on the money. Lucky for me we didn't bet on it! So her shower will be sometime in April. They couldn't tell the sex of the baby, but he/she was sure kicking those legs. Hopefully we will know in a couple more weeks when she has another ultrasound. I'll keep you all posted!
The school pictures are here, the school pictures are here!!!
Sorry I haven't posted in soooo long. I was having a bit of trouble with my blog. We finally got Joey's school pictures. He is such a ham. They took one picture and that is all they needed. He loves to take pictures.

Surgery went great!
Surgery went just fine. I think my little guy did better than mommy & daddy & sissy. We were able to bring him home about an hour or so after surgery, and he slept for about 3 hours. After that it was popsicle heaven. We played his favorite board games, raced his hot wheels, and played with his dinosaurs. It was like nothing had happened to him. We are still going to take it easy for a few days, but all is well. Oh yea, he got the cutiest teddy bear from the surgeon Dr. Damrose, and also got a personal phone call from him that evening. What a GREAT doctor we had.

The wild outdoors!!!!
We camped outside Saturday night. We pitched our tent, BBQ'd hotdogs, roasted marshmellows, watched movies on the portable DVD player, and got scared to death by daddy. He is famous for scaring people, and I will get him back. One of these days, I keep telling him, One of these days. Anyhoo, we had alot of fun with the girls.

Adventure Park !!!!!!
We had a total blast today! We took joey to Adventure Park. We goofey golfed, did laser tag, rode go-carts, played video games, and splashed on the water bumper boats. We ate lots of pizza at the buffet and watched spongebob. We didn't get pictures of the boat ride because me & joey were against daddy, and sadly enough, daddy won. I was soaked to the bone! No kidding. It was all worth it. Joey won lots of tickets playing video games and came home with " pretty cool stuff" as he says!

Happy Birthday Ronnie
Today is Ronnie's 60th birthday! We had a great time at Aunt Carol & Uncle Jack's house. We celebrated PaPa's & Ronnies birthday. There were hamburgers & hotdogs, and the best chili I ever ate. I really need to get that recipe from Aunt carol. we made a deal to get together once a month at least and do a potluck. Well here are a couple of pictures of Ronnie. Love you PaPa & Ronnie, hope you had a great time. Oh yeah, Joey brought them both Rib-eye steak dinners with all the trimmings. I think they did pretty good. BBQ, Rib-eye, gifts and cake!!

Games, Games & more Games
We have been playing lots of board games lately. These are Joey's faves. Does anyone remember Electro? It's old, but it still works! I got it from Joey's grandma Emma. We have been playing about 2-3 times a day. Thats right, A DAY! I am about Lifed, Fished and Electroed OUT! I'm kidding, I like them just as much as he does.

We've been very busy
We have been very busy these last few weeks with Doctor's and Dentist visits. Joey went in to the Dentist for a check up and cleaning, and the dentist found something in his x-ray. He asked if Joey breathes more through his mouth than his nose. I said yes, due to his allergies. Well the Dentist said to get him to an ear, nose & throat doctor, because he has a blockage in his nasal passage. After seeing the specialist at Kaiser, and having some x-rays again, he was right! Joey needs his Adenoids removed. We have expressed this problem to his doctor for quite some time, and she always said "your son has allergies" He may have, but removing his adenoids will help him breathe better, and he probably won't snore anymore, and will be able to sleep more restfully. Joey & I agree, we are switching our sons doctor. He is scheduled for surgery on September 15th, possibly the 18th of this month, if someone cancels. The specialist said it is about a 15-20 minute surgery, and he should go home the same day, but he has to be put under. I will keep everyone posted. Say lots of prayers.

Happy Birthday Vanessa
Happy Birthday to vanessa. She turned 5 years old yesterday. It was a great party. The kids had a blast on the bounce house water slide. We couldn't pull them off , not even with a crow bar. At the end, they had the slide until 9pm, me and Tamara(Vanessa's mommy) got in and all the kids went crazy. She double dog dared me, and I had to do it. Vanessa got a brand new Hannah Montana bicycle, and a ton of clothes. Mommy made her cake, it was sooooo good. We had a blast! Joey, Kaytlyn, and Sabrina all thank you for the invite.
